RAMPING UP THE TRANSPARENCY IN THE WORKSHOP
An innovative workshop video system has been launched by Arthurs of Wrexham.
The underneath of a vehicle booked into their Rhostyllen workshop is filmed, the technician provides a relevant commentary and the results of the video are emailed to the customer to watch and authorise proceeding - or otherwise.
“We regard this complimentary vehicle health check as part of our duty of care and making everything we do in the workshop as transparent as possible,” said Dealer Principal Philip Corfield.
“The benefit of the ‘Citnow’ system is it takes the customer digitally to the heart of the workshop. It allows the technician to show the work needed on a customer’s vehicle whilst it is still on the ramp.
“Customers have a guided tour of the underneath of their vehicle which means they can simply and quickly understand what work is required. The system provides more clarity than hitherto and is extremely customer friendly.
“It takes out the element of the customer taking our word for what we find. The customer is able to see for themselves – they can see exactly what the technician sees on his inspection.”
He added: “Filming the workshop inspection process ensures a vehicle is road safe and ‘Citnow’ provides peace of mind for everyone.”
