INSIGNIA COUNTRY TOURER - AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE CURRENT RAFT OF SUV'S
4th January 2019
David Goldthorpe, Retail Operator at Arthurs Vauxhall, says recognition of the 'sleek and stylish' Insignia Country Tourer as an 'alternative to the current raft of SUV's,' sums up the vehicle.
Commenting on a report on the Insignia Country Tourer, Mr. Goldthorpe said that for him the descriptions of the car's performance were exactly in line with Vauxhall's expectations of the vehicle.
He was particularly impressed with the reference to the 4x4 version as 'slightly more rugged,' but offering all the practicality of the normal Insignia estate.
"Arthurs also take the view that the looks are more muscular thanks to the plastic cladding to the wheel arches, lower fascia and lower body. The car also gets skid plates along with smart 18 inch alloys, a powered tailgate and Matrix LED headlights.
"Internally, it mirrors the other estatesand the interior can easily accommodate five adults and boasts a boot that can take between 560 and 1,665 litres of luggage, depending on the seat configuration.
"The 2.0 litre 170PS diesel engine delivers its power smoothly and there is always bags of grunt when it is need most. For high mileage business users the economy is really impressive with a claimed combined figure of 47.1 mpg and emissions of 157 g/km.
"The Insignia Country Tourer is easy to manoeuvre and it is agile on the open road. It is ideal for long distance motorway travel and its 4x4 system means it always feel well planted.
"Visibility is good and it is easy to select a comfortable driving position. The car also features all the latest safety features and boasts the top NCAP rating."
