DARREN PROVIDES AN EXPERIENCED PAIR OF HANDS

An experienced pair of hands will further boost the Newtown service team as award-winning Arthurs Vauxhall continues its development plans.

For the expanding Pool Road dealership has recruited Darren Jones to head up its service department and help to further develop the skills of Delyth Humphreys, 24, and Molly Jones, 20, in their key aftersales roles.

Said Darren: "The core skills of Delyth and Molly, which include customer liaison, will play an important part in the next stage of the dealership's progress.

"They both bring a lot of know-how and behind the scenes experience to the dealership's front desk which I am keen to foster to the further benefit of our growing number of aftersales customers.

"I believe that Delyth, who has been with the dealership for nearly two years, and Molly, for just under a year, are crucial to the service department moving forward as we further develop and expand our service team in Newtown."

Darren, 50, has been in the motor industry on and off since leaving school and spent 21 years with a dealership in Dolgellau where he rose from trainee to technician and workshop manager.

For the last four and a half years he has been workshop controller and administrator in a commercial role with a Shrewsbury dealership.

Darren, who lives in Llanymynech, described 'exciting times ahead' for Arthurs of Newtown.  "My aim is for this busy dealership to build on the good name Arthurs has in the area and its reputation for offering the best possible customer service.

"We have a great team in Delyth and Molly as our front of house specialists as well as behind the scenes with our three technicians.  In addition, Delyth has also taken on the role of parts specialist.

"I am also encouraged by reports that Vauxhall has returned a first half year profit for quite a while and I am looking forward to gathering speed with both the company and the manufacturer."
