Videos are set to become a technique of the future at a Shropshire, Mid Wales and Wrexham motor group.
Hot on the heels of video health checks on used cars, Arthurs is introducing videos to remind their Vauxhall and Peugeot customers of impending service and MOT requirements.
Ninety second personalised videos will replace letters reminding customers that their service or MOT is due.
The use of personalised videos is the brainchild of Arthurs General Manager David Goldthorpe who believes it is the way forward.
“The personalised video will have a link in an email and can be activated at a customer’s own convenience,” he explained.
“Customers will be able to watch the video at their leisure and choose when they wish to engage with us.
“They can click on the link, watch the video and then book their MOT or service from the comfort of their armchair at 9 o’clock at night if they wish. They are making a choice.”
He said Arthurs were already successfully using videos as a health check prior to a customer purchasing a used car and David believes videos will become an even more significant communications tool in the very near future.
