The new boss of a Wrexham main dealership has spoken of some ‘exciting developments’ during the first six weeks of his leadership.
Matt Roberts, 43, is dealer principal of award-winning Arthurs Peugeot Wrexham and he has made the early announcement that the dealership has agreed a unique sponsorship deal with Wrexham Tennis Centre.
Arthurs Peugeot will also be taking display cars to the Eagles Gate and Shopping Centre – another first for the dealership since it changed hands 18 months ago.
And Matt, who is in his 23rd year in the motor trade, has also introduced a daily enquiry manager’s log of customers who visit the dealership whether for sales, aftersales or parts.
“This is an important addition to our care for customers concept which has already won Arthurs of Wrexham Peugeot awards,” he said.
“This management system will help us track customers’ records so that we do not lose sight of their contact with the dealership. This is a very good tool in ensuring that no customer slips through the net.”
He added that Arthurs Peugeot were ahead of new sales forecasts with the 2008, 208 and 108 and non-franchised stock continued to attract buyers.
“It has been a ‘whirlwind’ but very encouraging first six weeks and I believe I have fitted well into the Arthurs way of working. In addition, I have received visits from Peugeot senior managers and they are impressed with our plans for the rest of the year.
“We are aiming for great things,” Matt added.
