'Veteran' Matt, 43, is the New Boss at the Award-Winning Peugeot Dealership in Wrexham

Award-winning Peugeot dealership Arthurs of Wrexham has a new dealer principal.

He is Matt Roberts, who at age 43 is already a 'veteran' in  the motor industry.

He has been in the trade for 23 years and his appointment to Arthurs Peugeot, Wrexham's newest dealership, is his first as a dealer principal.

Said Matt:  "I am really looking forward to the challenge - there is massive potential to grow this business both in terms of sales and after sales.

"And in doing so new jobs will be created."

Another aim is to be at the helm of the 22 employee strong dealership when it is in the top 10 Peugeot dealerships in the country for customer satisfaction.

Matt, who is from Crewe, outlined his initial plans for the dealership which include involvement in more charity and community events.

He would like to hear from organisers of events with a view to Arthurs Peugeot attending and therefore supporting.

"I have been involved in this area of activity in the past and in my experience it works really well," said Matt who added that Arthurs Peugeot would be at the Ellesmere Regatta in July and Oswestry Show the following month.

He began his career as a sales executive with a small motor trader in Crewe in 1994 and progressed as a sales manager in Newcastle before spending four years in Jersey where there were 12 franchises under one roof in a dealership which included Peugeot.

He returned to the UK to work for the largest Alfa Romeo dealership in Knutsford and spent the last 18 months as branch manager for one of the country's biggest motor industry plc's.

He sees his move to Rhostyllen-based Arthurs Peugeot as a career progression and looks forward to a successful future with the family owned business.

"The motor industry has been my life and I  love every bit of the environment," added Matt.  "I wouldn't have it any other way."
